Educational Learning Support

Every child learns differently. While some simply need additional practice, others struggle because the underlying foundations that support learning have not yet fully developed. Difficulties with reading, writing, mathematics, attention, coordination, memory, or confidence are often signs that a child needs a different approach—not simply more instruction.

My work combines individualized academic teaching with movement-based educational activities that give children opportunities to develop coordination, rhythm, balance, body awareness, attention, and other foundational skills that support learning.

My Approach

As a certified Waldorf teacher with additional training in Curative Education and Blomberg Rhythmic Movement Training (BRMT) Levels 1 & 2, I offer an individualized educational approach that integrates movement-based learning, artistic activities, multisensory instruction, and academic teaching.

Each lesson is thoughtfully designed around your child's unique strengths, developmental needs, and learning profile. Sessions may include:

  • Developmentally appropriate movement activities
  • Multisensory reading, spelling, writing, and mathematics instruction
  • Artistic and hands-on learning experiences
  • Games that strengthen memory, attention, and executive functioning skills
  • Activities that support balance, coordination, rhythm, and body awareness
  • Individualized strategies to build confidence and independence
  • Home practice suggestions that reinforce learning between sessions

My goal is not simply to help children complete schoolwork, but to support the developmental skills that make future learning more accessible.

Children I Commonly Support

My program is designed for children who may:

  • Struggle with reading, spelling, or writing
  • Find mathematics unusually difficult
  • Have difficulty maintaining attention or focus
  • Become easily overwhelmed by schoolwork
  • Need additional support with attention, memory, or learning strategies
  • Would benefit from activities involving coordination, balance, rhythm, or body awareness
  • Benefit from movement-based learning
  • Thrive with individualized instruction rather than traditional tutoring

I also enjoy partnering with homeschooling families seeking personalized educational support rooted in whole-child development.

What Makes This Different from Traditional Tutoring?

Traditional tutoring often focuses on reteaching academic content.

My work begins by asking a different question:

What foundational skills and learning approaches will help this child engage more successfully with academic learning?

Academic instruction remains an important part of every session, but it will be integrated with movement-based learning, artistic activities, hands-on experiences, and individualized strategies that support attention, coordination, rhythm, memory, and engagement.

This whole-child approach reflects both Waldorf educational principles and current understanding of child development.

Let's Connect

Choosing the right educational support is an important decision, and I'd be happy to learn more about your child, answer your questions, and discuss whether my educational support program is the right fit for your family. As I continue teaching in the classroom three days each week, I currently offer consultations and virtual educational support services on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.

To schedule an introductory phone consultation, please send an email with the following information:

  • Your child's age and current grade
  • A brief description of your child's learning challenges or goals
  • Any specific questions you would like to discuss
  • Three dates and times (on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Saturday) when you would be available for a phone call

After receiving your information, I will review your request and confirm one of your preferred consultation times. I look forward to connecting with you and learning how I may be able to support your child's educational journey.
